Webflow simplifies enterprise seat management on Enterprise plans

TL;DR

Webflow adds seat management tools built for large teams: advanced search and filters, bulk actions, CSV export, a member management API, and greater flexibility in seat allocation.

Search, bulk actions, public API: Webflow rethinks large-scale team management for Enterprise organizations

What Webflow is changing in enterprise seat management

Your Webflow Workspace is growing. So are your teams. And until now, keeping track of who has access to what, on which site, with which role, quickly turned into a game of hide and seek. Webflow has just fixed this with a series of improvements dedicated to seat management, available on all Enterprise plans.

Three new features structure this update: simplified bulk management, automation via public API, and more flexibility in seat allocation.

Bulk management, finally built for large teams

Before this update, quickly understanding who had access to what in a fast-growing Workspace was a chore. Admins now have real management capabilities:

  • Search and filters by role, status, or seat type, at both the Workspace and site level
  • Bulk actions to remove members, change roles, or update CMS, Locales, and Pages access
  • CSV export of the full list of Workspace members and site-level access

In practice, an admin managing dozens of collaborators across multiple sites no longer needs to handle each account one by one. They filter, select, and apply a bulk action. No more repetitive clicking.

Automation enters the picture through public APIs

For organizations that manage access beyond the Webflow interface, the same capabilities are now accessible through public member management APIs. Adding an existing user to a specific site, with the right role and permissions, can be done in a single request.

This is a real win for technical teams looking to connect Webflow access management to their own internal tools: HRIS systems, onboarding tools, homegrown automation scripts. The developer documentation details how to implement these membership APIs.

More flexibility in seat usage

One last, non-trivial point: an available full seat can now be used for any role, full or limited. If you have a free full seat but no limited seats left, you can still invite a new member as a Marketer, for example, without waiting on a licensing renegotiation.

Before After
Manual member management, account by account Search, filters, and bulk actions
No automation possible on the access side Public membership APIs to provision at scale
Limited seats blocking once exhausted Full seats reusable for any role
Almost no data export options Full CSV export of members and site-level access

Mazette.co's take on this update

A good piece of news, without any fanfare. This update will not make headlines on a keynote slide, but it solves a genuine operational problem for organizations structuring their digital presence around Webflow at scale.

At Mazette.co, we support clients whose Webflow Workspaces bring together marketing teams, developers, partner agencies, and sometimes several entities within the same group. Access management quickly becomes a topic in its own right there, both for security and for productivity. Bulk actions and advanced filters directly address that need: less time lost on admin, more clarity on who can touch what.

The point we find most interesting is the opening of the public membership APIs. This makes it possible to connect Webflow access management to internal workflows our Enterprise clients already have in place, without relying solely on the interface. This is exactly the kind of building block that makes a platform credible to organizations used to highly integrated internal tools.

On seat flexibility, the logic feels fair and pragmatic. Nothing spectacular, but a real gain in budget flexibility for teams managing licenses closely.

Our only caveat: these improvements remain limited to Enterprise plans. Smaller teams, who are also growing fast, will have to wait or make do with the current interface. If your organization is approaching this level of complexity, now is the right time to structure your Webflow governance before organizational debt sets in.

What this means for your organization

If your Webflow Workspace brings together several teams, multiple sites, or several vendors, this update is worth testing right away. It simplifies both onboarding new collaborators and the regular clean-up of access rights, a topic often overlooked until it becomes a genuine security risk.

Mazette.co helps companies structure their Webflow ecosystem, from access governance to building the site itself. If you are wondering about the best way to organize your Workspace at scale, let us talk about it.
